Make a list of what you want your garden to look like- is it colorful, useful, fragrant? Find plants that are 'like' temperaments- watering, growth, height (do you want a staggered or uniform look). Where will they be planted- sun, shade or partial? How much natural water (rain) do they need, how much tending/care? A great garden develops over time and with thought.
