Your unique understanding could turn out to be the difference between success and failure for other people in the community researching planting a container-grown plant in the ground.
If you have a lot of sandy ground, I once saw on a show the gardener recommended digging the hole, placing newspapers in the bottom, then soil mixed with a small amount of stones in varying sized, a layer of more soil then the plant with all the original dirt from the container. The newspaper acts like a water collector so the water stays near the plant yet is biodegradable once the plant has had time to adjust. The stones allow water to flow away from the plant and additional aeration for the root to grow.
